The Greek New Testament
The world's most widely used Greek version of the New Testament is now available in a new, fundamentally revised and improved edition. For this 5th edition, the newly discovered papyri 117-127 were evaluated for the first time. Additionally, it is now indicated in the text-critical apparatus that some modern translations of the Bible, including Luther's Bible and the German Standard Translation, are based on a variation in the Greek New Testament format. rather than the main text. Finally, the segmentation apparatus has been completely revamped, listing the division of text into sections of meaning (such as commas, paragraphs, or quotation marks) in modern German translations of the Bible as well as other editions of the New Greek Testament. The revision focused mainly on Catholic letters, the edition of which was adapted to that of Editio Critica Maior, published in 2013. This led to more than 30 changes in the text as well as a completely redeveloped text critical apparatus with a new grouping of witnesses and a revised selection of variants.
