À l’âge de trois ans, au tout début du XIIe siècle, sainte Hildegarde raconte avoir vu une forte lumière qui l’a prise toute entière. À partir de cet instant, le Seigneur bouleverse sa vie, lui donnant de voir le surnaturel. Devenue religieuse bénédictine, puis prieure de sa communauté, Hildegarde est poussée par l’Esprit à écrire ce qu’il lui révèle et rédigera ainsi trois grands livres. Mélomane, elle compose de la musique. Engagée, elle prêche dans les églises et conseille les papes et les grands de son époque. Fondatrice, elle créé de nouvelles abbayes et sera même prieure de deux monastères en même temps. Visionnaire et déclarée docteur de l’Église en 2012, elle laissera une marque importante sur son époque et sur la nôtre.
