Le Ciel continue de leur sourire est un recueil de rencontres vécues par Mgr Ambo David et un hommage aux plus démunis, qui nous montrent la voie du courage et de la sainteté.

« Ils sont aussi enfants de Dieu - ces enfants qui grandissent dans les rues avec peu ou pas du tout d’éducation parentale. On les appelle de différentes manières en tagalog : batang kalye, batang yagit, batang lansangan. Ce qui signifie : enfants des rues. Mais ces dénominations veulent toutes dire la même chose : ils sont des enfants de la rue, des durs à cuire, bien au courant des affaires du monde. Depuis que j’ai été affecté au service du diocèse de Kalookan, j’ai eu le privilège de rencontrer certains d’entre eux. Permettez-moi de vous en présenter quelques-uns... »
