Joseph Proux

Le Père Joseph Proux a, durant de nombreuses années, marché avec des groupes sur les traces de Paul. Il a produit des enseignements sur les Actes et les écrits de l'Apôtre, comme professeur de théologie, comme animateur de groupes bibliques et dans les recueils d'homélies. Il nous livre ici un écho de sa longue et riche expérience, et il propose une approche vivante de ce « passionné du Christ et de l'Église ».

Il décrit avec soin les divers aspects ou circonstances géographiques, historiques, culturelles, communautaires et spirituelles qui ont marqué la vie de Paul et conditionné sa mission auprès des païens de son époque et la rédaction de ses lettres à destination des communautés chrétiennes. Il met en perspective les missions de l'Apôtre des nations et sa correspondance, deux sources de l'aventure apostolique paulienne qui s'éclairent l'une l'autre. Enfin, au fil des récits, il dégage des enseignements pour la mission de l'Église aujourd'hui.
