Itineraries

Jean-Claude Verrechia

You think the Bible is an austere and boring book, that's your right! The offbeat tone of the work you hold in your hands will show you that austerity is perhaps on the reader's side...
The Bible can be read in all directions, from front to back and from right to left, but to do this you need to have the audacity of an initiate coupled with that of a teacher. With Jean-Claude Verrecchia you have found the necessary guide to forget preconceived ideas and approach the Bible with a reawakened curiosity.

If you have a Bible at home that has been waiting patiently for a long time for you to open and interpret it, but has not (yet?) found the reader in you that it is hoping for, then don't let go of the book that you you hold in your hands. Indeed, by approaching the Bible through its history and its current composition you will discover a little more that you are the unique reader that it needs today.

About the author: Jean-Claude Verrecchia taught the New Testament in France and the United Kingdom. He regularly collaborated on projects of the French Bible Alliance: Nouvelle Bible Segond (co-editor), exhibition The Bible Heritage of Humanity, the Bible Explained, the New French Current Bible, ZeBible.
